Consignment Bridal Boutique Celebrates National Earth Day

Encore Bridal Founder Will Volunteer One Hour With Heal the Bay for Every Dress Sold in April

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - April 2, 2010) - Encore Bridal (, the upscale resale and consignment e-boutique, celebrates national earth day all month long. Encore Bridal founder, Julie Jones, will donate one hour of time with local non-profit organization, Heal the Bay, for every dress sold in April. Now brides are able to make a socially conscious choice in more ways than one when purchasing their "up-cycled" pre-owned wedding dress.

"This year, in honor of earth day, I wanted to donate my time to an organization that is dedicated to improving the environment," says Ms. Jones. Heal the Bay ( was founded in Los Angeles, California in 1985 with a mission of making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds, including Santa Monica Bay, safe, healthy, and clean. They offer weekly volunteer opportunities in the form of beach clean-ups, creek restoration days, and community outreach, amongst others.

Ms. Jones feels strongly about employing earth friendly business practices and using Encore Bridal as a way to give back to the community. With so much thought being placed on the environment some people may wonder what they can do to save the earth. Jones says, "It's the small things that count -- everyone can make a difference in their own way. This is about giving brides that opportunity."
