Consignment Spots Sold Out for Barrett-Jackson 39th Annual Scottsdale Collector Car Auction

SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwire - January 7, 2010) - Officials with the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company recently announced that vehicle consignment spots for the company's 39th Annual Scottsdale Collector Car Auction have been sold out, proving once again that economic woes are no match for the thriving collector car hobby. Barrett-Jackson will continue to accept bidder applications from collectors looking to nab one of these amazing vehicles; tickets to the event are also still on sale. The Scottsdale event will take place Jan. 18 - 24, at WestWorld Scottsdale. The auction will feature more than 1,100 desirable collector vehicles and lavish lifestyle events, while SPEED cameras capture live, high-definition coverage.

"The tremendous response we received from consignors to take part in the Scottsdale event demonstrates the resiliency of the hobby and the scope of a Barrett-Jackson event," said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. "During tough economic times, people tend to scale back on ancillary activities but stick to their passions. Car collecting is certainly a passion, and Barrett-Jackson will transform WestWorld into the center of the collector car universe in January."

The Scottsdale docket will include an eclectic mix of collector vehicles, such as John Dillinger's Get-A-Way Car, a 1930 Ford Model A Coupe (Lot #1309); a Shelby Cobra CSX2091 (Lot #1303); a 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT "Richard Petty Serial #001" to benefit the Petty Family Foundation (Lot #1277); a 2008 1 of 1 Ford Shelby GT500 KR Coupe (Lot #1252.2); a 1956 Chrysler Phantom Custom Wagon (Lot # 1311); and even a rare 1929 Hamilton Metalplane H-47 (Lot #1307).

Bidders interested in attending the auction can visit or call (480) 421-6694. Barrett-Jackson bidders receive one bidder paddle and one guest credential valid all days of the event, a preferred parking pass, access to the bidder seating area and hosted bidder bar, two invitations to the Opening Night Party on January 18, and an event catalog.
