Constantine to Head Up Software & IT Services Sector for QinetiQ North America's Systems Engineering Group

HUNTSVILLE, AL--(Marketwire - May 6, 2010) -  QinetiQ North America (LSE: QQ) has appointed Harold "Ed" Constantine as Vice President of its Systems Engineering Group's Software and IT Services Sector. Constantine will work out of the Group's Oceanside, Calif. office and report directly to Chief Operating Officer Randy Tieszen.

In his new position, Constantine will oversee the development and integration of the company's software applications, such as its Intelligence Situational Awareness Tool (ISAT) and its Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) support programs. He also will direct the implementation of the end-to-end enterprise IT services the company provides its customers, such as the design, establishment, management, security and operations of network infrastructures.

Constantine joined QinetiQ North America following 14 years of service with Northrop Grumman, where he held various management and system engineering positions. He most recently served as Navy and USMC Account Manager for Northrop Grumman, managing the company's approach to providing new Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems, transitioning current Command and Control (C2) systems to a SOA, and leading the company's Internal Research and Development (IR&D) efforts for Navy and USMC C4I efforts. 

Prior to working for Northrop Grumman he served in the US Coast Guard where he held various technical positions, worked as an engineering project manager for shipboard C2 systems, and was the Naval C4I Program Manager before retiring in 1996. 

Constantine holds a bachelor's in Management Information Systems from Pace University (New York) and a master's degree in Software Engineering from George Mason University (Virginia).
