Contact Centers of America Announces Workforce Program Focused on Employing Disabled Veterans

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - May 6, 2010) -  Contact Centers of America (CCA), the industry leader in socially and economically innovative customer contact solutions, today announced it has created a workforce program focused on employing disabled American veterans.

"Disabled American veterans, who have worked hard and sacrificed so much for America, are a dedicated, disciplined, and responsible workforce that is underutilized in corporate America," said Joe Jacoboni, chief executive officer of CCA. "We created this program to offer these individuals a career path in customer service, customer support and technical support, while also providing our clients with phenomenal U.S.-based resources with business-ready capabilities."

CCA has teamed up with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, Orlando VA Medical Center, and with Valencia Community College (VCC) in Orlando to provide extensive training and support resources to disabled veterans joining the CCA team.

"Organizations like CCA are driving real opportunities for our American heroes," said Sara Trask from Hire Heroes USA. "Their contact center careers focus on leveraging a veteran's capabilities. CCA's flexible work-from-home solutions help overcome minor logistical challenges, such as transportation, that can keep a good person out of work. We applaud their effort and hope a large number of American corporations support this type of program which puts talented individuals into good jobs, generating great results."

Jacoboni continued, "We have a large pipeline of talented candidates looking to put their capabilities into action in the corporate world. Our goal now is to educate companies throughout the United States on the benefits and opportunities this program offers both the organization and the disabled veterans who are eager to step back into the workforce. This program gives back to those who gave so much. It is a win-win proposition -- making economic, social and business sense to all parties involved."

Two Great Organizations Involved in Recruiting and Screening Candidates

CCA works with Hire Heroes USA and the Wounded Warrior Project to assist in recruiting and screening potential candidates. By aligning with these great support organizations, CCA can cost-effectively hire qualified disabled veterans and support the company's initiative to provide socially beneficial and economically attractive solutions to clients.
