Convenience U & CARWACS Announce Comprehensive
Convenience, Gas and Car Wash Trade Show and Conference

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 17, 2005) -

Convenience U and CARWACS to share solutions for issues facing
convenience store, gas and car wash industries

Convenience U (www.convenienceu.ca) and CARWACS (www.carwacs.com),
Canada's premier convenience, gas and car wash convention and
conference, will present a forum to discuss current issues and solutions
facing convenience store, gas and car wash owners and operators. The
event will/ take place March 1, 2 and 3, 2005 at the Toronto Congress
Centre in Toronto.

For the first time, Convenience U and CARWACS have joined together to
bring 40 seminars, more than 300 exhibitors and special networking
events to over 2,000 convenience, gas and car wash retailers, suppliers,
distributors and other industry representatives. Attendees can register
online at www.convenienceu.ca and choose from a number of packages and
seminars.

The many seminars will provide information on trends, innovative ideas
and solutions to help convenience store, gas and car wash retailers
achieve success in today's competitive markets.

sales performance in key retailer's categories and the conditions facing

For car wash and gas retailers, there will be an opportunity to learn

car wash operators, the latest trends and the benefits of adding car
washes to convenience gas offerings.

Additional guest speakers participating in the show include:

- Dr. Ken Cooper, founder of aerobics, will speak on how to lead a
healthy lifestyle and will motivate attendees to take a more balanced
approach to their lives

- Howard McIntyre, President, Ontario Convenience Store Association
(OCSA) and Ron Funk, Vice President, Rothmans, Benson & Hedges Inc. will
discuss the affect of Ontario Tobacco legislation on convenience and gas
retailers

- David Tucker, Senior Vice-President, National Association of
Convenience Stores (NACS) will present the Ideas 2 Go session, providing
attendees with innovative ideas and technology used by leading companies
who are redefining convenience.

Brian Williams, veteran Canadian sports commentator will be the guest
speaker during the Gala dinner planned for March 1, 2005.
