Corporate Wellness Pioneer, GlobalFit Enters the Philadelphia 100® Hall of Fame

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwire - December 6, 2007) - The term "Hall of Famer" often conjures images of octogenarians and their sepia-toned glory days. But for the 15-year-old GlobalFit, their Hall of Fame designation arrives as the company looks ahead to the promise of their greatest success yet.

The nation's premier provider of healthy living benefits, GlobalFit was named recently to the Hall of Fame of the Philadelphia 100, the prestigious research project that has been ranking the region's fastest-growing, privately held companies for almost two decades.

"To the extent that this award recognizes our team's vision and drive, we're proud and greatly honored," said Frank Napolitano, GlobalFit's CEO and President. "But this distinction also recognizes the increasingly vital role played by healthy living programs and preventative maintenance within the corporate and group benefit space."

From its humble beginnings as a one-man start-up in 1992, GlobalFit has grown rapidly by promoting healthy living through corporate and group channels. Currently sponsored by more than 1,400 corporations and organizations, the GlobalFit benefit offers affordable access to fitness club memberships, weight-loss programs and behavior management programs. "We foresee even greater achievements in 2008," declared Napolitano, "when we will unveil our most ambitious offering to date: a groundbreaking, interactive program designed to boost the activity levels of the 60% of America's workforce currently at moderate risk of lifestyle-related ailments."

GlobalFit earned the Hall of Fame designation after ranking to the list of the ten-county region's fastest-growing, privately held companies for five consecutive years. To put that into perspective, only 40 companies have reached the Hall of Fame in the Philadelphia 100's 19 years, and only nine companies on this year's list have been ranked as many as three times.

GlobalFit was honored at The 2007 Philadelphia 100® Awards Dinner and Ceremony, held recently at The Sheraton Philadelphia. For its fifth appearance on the Philadelphia 100 list, GlobalFit ranked at number 86 based on their 63% revenue growth between 2004 and 2006. Determined by the research of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business Administration, the rankings are given on a meritorious basis that emphasizes sales performance.
