Correctional Service of Canada: Inmates Escape from Minimum Security Riverbend Institution

PRINCE ALBERT, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Aug. 21, 2010) - At approximately 2200 hours it was discovered that two inmates escapes from Riverbend Institution. RCMP and Prince Albert City Police were notified. 

Travis Aaron TANISKISHAYINEW is a 21 year old federal offender serving a 2 year, 2 month sentence for ROBBERY X 2 and CARRY CONCEALED WEAPON. His sentence commenced on 2009-11-13. He stands 170 cm (5'7") tall and weighs 95 kgs (210 lbs). He has black hair and brown eyes.

Dustin Nigel RATT is a 25 year old federal offender serving a 2 year, 6 month sentence for ARMED ROBBERY X 2 AND FAIL TO COMPLY. His sentence commenced 2009-09-16. He stands 180 cm (5'11") tall and weighs 96 kgs (212 lbs). He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of TANISKISHAYINEW and RATT is asked to contact the RCMP or local Police Agency. 

Riverbend Institution is a minimum-security institution located 1 kilometer west of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan and currently accommodates 124 inmates. 

Minimum security offenders are those who are rated as low escape risk and a low risk to the public.

The Correctional Service Canada will review the surrounding incident and are working with police authorities to locate the offenders.
