Correctional Service of Canada: Grierson Centre Inmate Escape

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 29, 2008) - On November 28, 2008, inmate James Wrigley was reported missing from the Grierson Centre in Edmonton, AB at approximately 9:30 p.m.

The police have been notified and Correctional Service Canada will continue to work with the police in an effort to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

James Gordon Wrigley is serving an indeterminate sentence for Second Degree Murder. His sentence commenced June 15, 1994. He is 168 cm (5' 6" inches) tall, weighs 80 kgs (177 pounds) has a fair complexion, green eyes and brown hair. He is 39 years old.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of James Wrigley is asked to contact your local police.

Correctional Service Canada will review the circumstances surrounding the escape and will take action where necessary.

Grierson Centre is a 30 bed minimum security institution located at 9530 101 Avenue in Edmonton.
