Coweta County, Georgia Selects Metatomix's Judicial Data Exchange System

County to Leverage JDX for Secure, Real-Time Data Exchange for Justice Agencies

TAMPA, FL--(Marketwire - October 2, 2007) - Court Technology Conference -- Metatomix, Inc., a leading provider of semantic solutions to financial services, justice, manufacturing and life sciences organizations, today announced that Coweta County, Georgia is implementing the company's Judicial Data Exchange (JDX) product.

JDX will allow Coweta County to exchange real-time information between several justice agencies including the Magistrate, Clerk of Superior Court, State Court, District Attorney, Public Defender, Adult Probation, Sheriff and the Solicitor General. Specifically, JDX will allow the Magistrate's office to exchange and amend information such as bond amounts and dispositions as well as criminal charges to the appropriate justice agencies. Additionally, the solution will connect disparate case and record management systems to automatically and securely share case information, reducing duplicate data entry and errors, and accelerating judicial decisions. With over 115,000 residents, Coweta County is one of Georgia's fastest-growing counties.

"After a widespread search, we chose Metatomix's Judicial Data Exchange for its proven ability and ease of implementation," said Cecil McGuire, Coweta County Information Technology Director. "We assembled a team representing our core judicial and law enforcement agencies to carefully identify solutions to challenges we face in our county. Metatomix has a proven track record of successfully meeting those challenges for our counterparts in Georgia and elsewhere."

"Metatomix's solution will have an important impact on streamlining key judicial processes, such as reducing the time gap between issuing bench warrants and having them active in the law enforcement database," said Cindy Brown, Clerk of Superior Court.

A key component to Metatomix's justice product set, JDX enables important benefits such as single sign-on; role-based access; workflow and checkpoint functionality; and real-time jail information access. Moreover, the solution enables automated warrant processing, which allows justice agencies, such as the Magistrate's office, to process various warrants in real-time as well as make any necessary amendments. It also greatly reduces the time necessary to complete the overall process. JDX protects control of sensitive case information without replacing or changing existing case management systems. For customers such as Coweta County, Georgia the result is more productivity, county-wide financial savings and a more effective judicial decision-making process.
