Michael A. Columbos, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Cross Oilsands Contracting Ltd. is pleased to announce the following recent appointments

Robert H. Kilburn, P. Eng. of Calgary, has agreed to be appointed to the Board of Directors of Cross. Mr. Kilburn is Vice President and General Manager for Mancal Coal Inc. and is responsible for the overall management of Mancal's extensive undeveloped coal holdings. Mr. Kilburn's experience in the coal industry covers more than 25 years, primarily in the areas of marketing, rail and port logistics, corporate planning, and acquisitions. Mr. Kilburn graduated from the University of Alberta in 1974 with a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering and is a member of the Professional Engineers of Alberta and British Columbia.

Ross MacLean, BSc.(Mining Engineering), MBA has been appointed Chief Operating Officer reporting directly to Michael Columbos, Chief Executive Officer. Mr. MacLean, who will relocate from Denver, will divide his time between the corporate head office in Calgary and operations in Fort McMurray. Mr. MacLean will have broad responsibilities for the operating and business development activities of the Company while providing the management and technical leadership required to meet production targets in a safe and effective manner. Mr. MacLean is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a BSc. Mining Engineering and, from the University of Denver with an MBA. Mr. MacLean has over 20 years management and operations experience in surface mining and aggregate operations. Most recently he was Director, Manufacturing and Operations Optimization for Lafarge N.A. Previously he held a number of positions with increased responsibilities with Newmont Mining Corporation in Nevada, Peru and Indonesia. He is a Director of the University of Arizona Industry Leadership Board.

George Winter has been promoted to General Manager of Cross and will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Winter has been a valued Cross employee since 1997 and has assumed increasing responsibility for Cross during his tenure. Mr. Winter has made a significant contribution to Cross over the past 10 years and will work with the COO and CEO to ensure the successful transition of Cross to a significantly larger oil sands contractor with an expanded larger haul capacity fleet. Mr. Winter will play a key role with the COO in developing the Company's client base and the larger capacity haul services especially for overburden operations that Cross will provide to clients. Mr. Winter will be responsible for managing all aspects of earthwork while liaising with clients to meet their longer term needs.

James Excell holds a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge and has joined Cross as Operations Coordinator. Mr. Excell will report directly to the General Manager. Mr. Excell will be responsible for equipment management and the development and implementation of systems to provide equipment utilization, tracking and maintenance reporting, equipment budgeting and cost controls.

Located in Fort McMurray with corporate offices in Calgary, Cross Oilsands Contracting Ltd. and its predecessor companies have provided oil sands contracting services to clients active in the development of the Alberta oil sands since 1974 when Cross completed initial clearing and ditching on the first mine site developed by Syncrude Canada Ltd ("Syncrude"). The Company has had Fully Operated Machinery (FOM) contracts since 1984 and provides extensive services to a number of clients including Syncrude, Shell Albian and CNRL Horizon. The Cross labor force is predominately unionized and the Company's current collective bargaining agreement expires February 1, 2011. Services provided by Cross to its oil sands mining clients include site preparation such as brush clearing, initial overburden removal, core drilling preparation for SAGD (winter drilling) and ditching work; general maintenance such as mine site sand and gravel hauling, sump and slurry clean-up, road maintenance, ongoing overburden removal during pit mining; site reclamation replacing banked topsoil stockpiles to restore mined sites.

Cross has been requested by major oil sands mining companies to provide larger capacity haul units to undertake longer term overburden removal contracts on a 24-7 basis. Under new ownership the Company is executing its business plan of increasing the unit capacity of its equipment fleet with the purchase of larger haul units and supporting equipment to conduct 24 hour 7 days per week operations for longer term contracts.
