Crush at Work Secures Injury Compensation

MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Oct. 7, 2009) -

A thirty two year old Yorkshire man, sustained a severe fracture to his left foot as a result of an accident at work and with the help of accident claims solicitor First Personal Injury he has secured Pounds Sterling 25,000 compensation.

At the time of the accident the man was working in a steel factory assisting a crane operator moving long sheets of steel when the accident happened and the steel fell on the man, trapping and crushing his foot.

He remained in hospital for 3 1/2 weeks and his foot was immobilised for approximately 3 months which meant he was off work for a period of 7 months.

As a result of the accident the man was left with limited movement in his left ankle and foot. It was also envisaged that he would experience considerable pain and discomfort for a least 3 years after his accident and he would be unable to return to vigorous sporting activities such as football and running.

Michael Jefferies of accident claims experts, First Personal Injury commented: "Our client suffered because of his employer's negligence.
