DAREarts Proudly Presents the Toronto Film Premiere of "Willard-The Hermit of Gully Lake"

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 15, 2007) - On Thursday, January 24th, 7:30 pm, DAREarts proudly presents the Toronto Film Premiere of "Willard - The Hermit of Gully Lake". Rated 5 stars at the Atlantic Film Festival, this fascinating film is making headlines across the country!

Willard MacDonald was a local legend, living as a recluse in the wilds of Nova Scotia for 60 years, yet touching the lives of so many. Jumping from a World War II troop train, Willard survived in nearly complete isolation in a crude shack. The residents of nearby Earltown took an interest in him, bringing him food and eventually arranging a pension for him.

The Film Premiere is at Cineplex's Scotiabank Theatre, Richmond St. W. at John. $25 tickets include admission, refreshments and meeting producer/director Amy Goldberg. Proceeds benefit DareArts - arts education that empowers 'at risk' children.
