DC Brands: First Run Done but Some Tweaks Remain

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - Last week, DC Brands International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: DCBR) announced that their Chief Procurement Officer, Jeremy Alcamo, would be in Wisconsin to oversee the first full-scale production of their new HARD Nutritional Functional Water Systems. Mr. Alcamo said, "The good news is the first run of our Wide Awake product is complete. The bad news is it took a day and a half longer than we expected. It is simply a matter of adjustment and fine tuning and we are very close to perfection. That's the nature of a world's 'one-of-a-kind' product. The problem is fine tuning the amount of torque applied in the tightening process of our new innovative cap. Using the amount of torque the cap manufacture suggests and then testing on the first run showed a discrepancy, which we found and changed during this run."

Alcamo continued, "Because of the discrepancy, this meant hand checking each cap to ensure we were within the new spec. But in the end, we got it done. You can imagine how time consuming this checking is. Therefore, we have made our final adjustments and will have our next production run the week of May 12th. It is frustrating but it is imperative that we get this right. We will have all necessary changes in place and within a week, Mr. Pearce and I will both be traveling back up for the next run. We have complete trust in our manufacturing partners that our next production date will run more efficiently."
