DDS Wireless' Customers Upgrade to Next Generation iMax™ Mobile Data Terminals Including Full System Sale to New Para-Transit Customer

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 23, 2009) - DDS Wireless International Inc. (TSX:DD) announces today that its Transit and Taxi business units, StrataGen Systems and Digital Dispatch, have each signed contracts featuring the sale of the Company's iMax mobile data terminals. The combined contracts have a value of $1.1 million.

The first is a contract with Veolia Transportation ("Veolia") to upgrade mobile data terminals ("MDTs") in their Denver taxi fleet to DDS's new iMax9000™. The latest generation iMax9000™ will provide Veolia with advanced features and functionality such 3D mapping, turn-by-turn navigation, leading edge graphics and touch screen technology. In addition, the greater processing power, expanded memory, and 3G wireless capabilities offered by the iMax9000™will enable Veolia to further extend their system capabilities in the future.

"Veolia is the first of our long-time customers to upgrade their equipment to the new iMax9000™ to capitalize on features and capabilities to improve their operational efficiency and quality of service. Veolia represents the first of many of our customers looking to upgrade to our latest generation mobile data terminals," states Vari Ghai, CEO of DDS Wireless. "Customers such as Veolia recognize the return on investment that can be gained from adopting class leading technology such as the iMax. Upgrading their system improves the efficiency of fleet management, navigation, and onboard electronic payment capabilities."

Veolia operates approximately 2,400 taxis in North America, dispatching them through 24 hour call centers that dispatch more than 5.5 million trips per year. DDS's dispatch software and mobile data terminals have been key to managing the tremendous volume of dispatch activity in three of Veolia's largest markets.

StrataGen Unit Signs Madison County

The second contract announcement is from Madison County Transit, Illinois. The contact is for approximately $420,000.00 and it covers a full, end to end solution for the District's growing Paratransit needs. The contract includes StrataGen's Adept Software product, a module suite including StrataGen's new Web Booking product – Manage My Trips, and DDS manufactured iMAX terminals for the vehicles.

"We are excited that Madison County Transit has chosen us as their vendor for their Paratransit needs moving forward. StrataGen is continuing to differentiate itself as a complete end to end solution provider to the industry," stated Matt Scheuing, President of StrataGen Systems.
