DDS Wireless' StrataGen Expands Market Footprint With Two Significant Wins

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 6, 2009) - DDS Wireless International Inc.'s (TSX:DD) Transit business unit, StrataGen Systems, today announced that it has been awarded two significant wins, Allen County, Ohio and Tampere, Finland. Combined, the opportunities total at least $750,000 and include a variety of service offerings including core systems software, mobile data terminals (MDTs), maintenance and interactive voice response (IVR). The central component is the software application which drives vehicle routing and trip scheduling - these allow service providers to recognize significant benefits in both client service as well as overall efficiency and hard cost operating savings resulting from improved fleet utilization.

The contract with Tampere, one of Finland's largest metropolitan areas, follows the announcement of the Helsinki project earlier this year. The municipality's dispatch center, powered by StrataGen's MobiRouter application, will provide transport service for Tampere and surrounding municipalities (Nokia, Ylojarvi, Ikaalinen, Pirkkala and Kangasala). The number of bookings per month is expected to be around 40,000. These are served by 450 taxis of Taxi Tampere, which in turn will process the routes generated with an existing implementation of DDS' TaxiBook™ Internet Dispatch Service.

StrataGen was also awarded a comprehensive order to equip Allen County, Ohio's Regional Transit Authority's Uplift Service. The solution for Allen County includes the installation of ADEPT™ Enterprise software, latest generation MDT in-vehicle hardware and related services including interactive voice response and will address Allen County's paratransit as well as its fixed route needs.

"We are pleased to see continued wins in key markets worldwide and look forward to working with these customers," stated StrataGen's President Matt Scheuing. "These customer wins further underscore the flexibility of the end-to-end StrataGen solution, the integration with other DDS offerings and our ability to serve our customers in a wide variety of operating environments."
