Dansk AMP introduces free stock exchange trading for all members

HORSENS, DENMARK--(Marketwire - October 22, 2007) - In future banks will be able to trade shares with each other free of charge at Dansk AMP

With the decision to make all share trading free of charge for the members of Dansk AMP and to maintain the principle that obtaining membership is free, Dansk AMP has improved the conditions of the listed companies and the members for creating an even more efficient stock market for small and medium-sized enterprises.

With effect as from 1 November 2007, members will be able to sell or buy as little as one share in the listed companies without having to pay any minimum charges or commission fees. Members will therefore be able to offer their private customers better financial trading terms, and the decision on free share trading also means that Dansk AMP is once again introducing a positive step towards the creation of an efficient stock market for small and medium-sized Danish enterprises.

Traditionally, the small investors in the small and medium- sized companies especially have suffered from the fact that the trading costs involved in small transactions in a stock market have been too big for it to be profitable to buy and sell anything but large shareholdings. Therefore especially small shareholders in the enterprises listed on Dansk AMP will benefit from the upcoming free interbank trading.

"It is naturally a precondition that the members of Dansk AMP do not charge too large handling fees when trading on Dansk AMP on behalf of their customers, but it must, of course, be up to the market forces to decide what the private investors end up paying", says Søren Thestrup, CEO, Dansk AMP.

In future, Dansk AMP's revenue will therefore be generated solely from its listed companies, and it is therefore clearly worth noticing that, in spite of this, the very low expenses of the listed companies for being admitted to trade at Dansk AMP remain unchanged. We strive to provide the best stock market in Denmark for small and medium-sized enterprises, and therefore we are once again improving the conditions for the enterprises and their shareholders," states Søren Thestrup.
