Data I/O Demonstrates New FlashCore II Programming Technology at Productronica in Munich (November 13-16)

REDMOND, WA--(Marketwire - November 13, 2007) - Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ: DAIO), today announced the first public showing of FlashCore II device programming technology will occur at Productronica in Munich (Nov 13-16). This hardware and software combination significantly extends the company's advanced architectures and programming solutions for the FlashCORE family of programming systems -- including the ProLine RoadRunner inline systems, the PS offline systems, the FLX500 automated desktop systems, and the FlashPAK II manual desktop system.

The first generation FlashCORE was introduced for Flash memory devices and later extended to support Flash microcontrollers. FlashCORE systems have enjoyed a broad range of installations in automotive and wireless manufacturing companies throughout the world as well as all of the major commercial programming centers.

Data I/O's Flash-optimized technology has set the standard for programming speeds as designed by the semiconductor manufacturers. Data I/O's automated handling systems and proprietary contact technology provide the highest yields available in the industry. FlashCORE II represents a significant extension of the previous generation in terms of current and future breadth of Flash device support.

"The market acceptance for our previous generation has been strong, and the value of the technology has been repeatedly field-proven," noted Harald Weigelt, Vice President Worldwide Sales & Marketing. "FlashCORE II provides a continued support path for the latest devices and also protects our customers' original investment in our automated solutions. In some cases, such as with the ProLINE RoadRunner, customers using large geometry devices can also achieve a significant performance gain because of this technology."

All new systems now include the FlashCORE II technology. Field upgrade kits are also available for existing automated system installations to include the FlashCORE II technology.
