The funds will be used to accelerate product development and expand sales and marketing efforts globally. The investment round was led by HTT Sixgen and was followed by contributions from Veraventure. In addition to Timo Teimonen -- formerly a head of Nokia Ventures Organization -- the company board of directors is adding Mats Therman, partner at HTT Sixgen, and Tero Salonen, a serial entrepreneur and CEO and co-founder of Dazzboard.
Dazzboard 2.0 provides users with instant webtop connections to all of their media on a wide variety of platforms: mobile, portable devices, PCs, cloud storage and social media networks. And unlike proprietary individual device management programs, Dazzboard accomplishes this with no downloads and no applications, the Dazzboard media manager is completely browser-based. The user experience is akin to that offered by iTunes, but for all portable devices; an Open iTunes.
