"Dead of Night" Fans Take Movie Poll by Storm

Film Ranks in Top Five Most Anticipated Comic Book Movies of 2010

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - December 10, 2009) - On a recent poll conducted by, the Platinum Studios, Inc. (OTCBB: PDOS) film "Dead of Night," an adaptation of the beloved Italian comic book "Dylan Dog," ranked fifth amongst all comic book movies expected to be released in 2010. The results came unexpectedly to since the film was accidentally left off the list of nominees and all votes for the picture were write-in votes.

The outpouring of support for "Dead of Night" is an early indication of the potential box office success for the film, which stars Brandon Routh ("Superman Returns") as the detective for the undead, whose business card reads "No Pulse, No Problem." Fans of the Kevin Munroe-directed film rallied more votes than the high profile comics "The Green Hornet," "The Losers," and "Red," which lines up "Dead of Night" as a potential sleeper hit in 2010. "Dylan Dog" is just one original property that hails from Platinum Studios' multi-universe library with over 5,600 comic characters.

Platinum Studios Chairman and CEO and "Dead of Night" producer Scott Mitchell Rosenberg was thrilled with the results. "I am incredibly grateful for the support that propelled 'Dead of Night' near the top of the list as a write-in and I am pleased to see how strongly the fans of 'Dylan Dog' are already expressing their interest in the movie." The film is currently in post production and is expected to be released in the later half of 2010.

"Iron Man 2," the follow-up to Robert Downey Jr.'s 2008 worldwide blockbuster directed by Jon Favreau, garnered 53% of the votes in the poll. Favreau's next film is expected to be "Cowboys & Aliens," another Platinum Studios' property, which is currently in pre-production, and which Rosenberg is producing along with DreamWorks' Steven Spielberg, Imagine Entertainment's Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, and writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (the writing team behind the "Transformers" franchise and the resurrected "Star Trek" franchise).

In addition to "Dead of Night," a collaboration with Hyde Park Entertainment and Omnilab Media, Platinum is developing "Unique" with "Harry Potter" producer David Heyman at Walt Disney Pictures, "The Witchblade" with "Wanted" executive producer Marc Silvestri, Top Cow Productions, Inc. and Arclight Films, "Atlantis Rising" with DreamWorks, Kurtzman/Orci and director Len Wiseman ("Underworld"), "The Weapon" with Disney Channel's "Wizards of Waverly Place" star David Henrie, "Mal Chance" with Tony Krantz ("24"), "Indestructible Man" and "Gunplay" at FOX 21, "Nightfall" with Aurora Productions and an untitled feature film project at Sony Pictures Animation. Platinum's Rosenberg would serve as a producer on all film projects and an executive producer on all TV projects.
