Dedupe2 Announces Contest to Find Deduplication Expert
Twitter-Based Contest Tests Participants' Dedupe Knowledge; Top Expert to Win a TomTom ONE 125 Navigation System

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - November 17, 2009) - Dedupe2.com, the gathering place for the
data management industry to discuss, debate and shape the next era of data
deduplication, today announced that it has launched a Twitter-based contest
in which the website will use its Twitter channel to ask
deduplication-related questions and solicit answers from its followers.
The grand prize for the "Navigating Through Deduplication" contest is a
TomTom ONE 125 navigation system, which will be awarded to the contestant
with the most correct answers.
Dedupe2 will issue a question about deduplication twice per week and will
instruct contestants to direct message them at @Dedupe2 with the correct answer. The
winner will be chosen during the week of December 21st. In the event of a
tie, the winner will be selected in a blind drawing.
The contest runs from November 17th to December 20th and is starting with
the question, "What does SHA stand for in SHA-1 & SHA-2?" It is open to
all* who wish to test their knowledge about data deduplication. To
participate, contestants must have a Twitter account and will need to follow
@Dedupe2 in order to be able to send direct messages. Only answers that
are sent as direct messages will be considered for the prizes. Updated
information on the contest, along with a list of previous questions, will
be available on Dedupe2.com.
