MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwire - November 24, 2008) - The new jewelry shopping site, Delamina, designed specifically for women just went live today. The company is the brainchild of renowned jeweler Stephen Silver (CEO) and entrepreneur Cheryl Black (COO). The site features an initial set of 20 jewelry designers with approximately one-thousand pieces ranging in price from $300 to $300,000.

"Delamina is different from any other online jewelry company because it eliminates the buyer's concerns about authenticity," said Silver. "Delamina doesn't own inventory. Designers must meet and maintain the strict standards of conduct in order to be on the ecommerce platform. First and foremost we are there to ease the mind of our jewelry customers through our validation process carried out by our carefully trained GIA gemologists. Delamina photographs the items for consistency -- both on mannequin, for scale and by itself. The designers post the descriptions and then we validate them before the jewelry is delivered. Included is a 'Certificate of Authenticity' in each package. We take the validation process very seriously, because we know trust is everything."
