The Devon Group Scores LACP Top 50 Publicity Award for Creative Social Networking Campaign

Agency's Use of Social Media Earns High Marks for Messaging, Execution and Results

MIDDLETOWN, NJ--(Marketwire - January 5, 2010) - The Devon Group, a public relations and marketing services firm, today announced that a publicity campaign conducted by the agency on behalf of its client LRP Conferences LLC was recently named one of the League of American Communications Professionals' (LACP) Top 50 Publicity Campaigns. The award was given for "Tweet Success," the social media campaign designed and executed by The Devon Group to promote Human Resource Executive's (HRE) 12th Annual HR Technology® Conference and Exposition. The Devon Group also won a Bronze Award in LACP's 2009 Magellan Awards Communications Campaign Competition in the Client Base/Membership Communications class.

The League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) was established in 2001. The 2009 Top Magellan Awards and Top 50 Publicity Campaigns were judged by a field of communications professionals affiliated with LACP. Their expertise spans a broad spectrum of PR functions ranging from corporate, executive and internal communications for Fortune 500 organizations to product, service and non-profit publicity expertise. Award results were based on the judging of submissions within peer-level competition classes. Judges' comments included that "Tweet Success" was a true mark for creative planning and discovering unique ways to raise awareness, as well a very well executed program that best leveraged the strengths of this new communications medium.
