DiGennaro Communications Expansion and Growth Are Bolstered by New Hires and Promotions: Theresa Nasi Joins DGC as Senior Vice President and Kendra Peavy Promoted to General Manager, Director of Development

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Aug 8, 2012) -  DiGennaro Communications (DGC), a leading independent PR agency, today announced a series of new hires and promotions resulting directly from the company's continued expansion and growth. New hires include Theresa Nasi, an accomplished media agency communications and business development professional, who joins DGC as a Senior Vice President.

Nasi was most recently at Interpublic Group's Universal McCann, where she served as Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Communications. Prior, she was Senior Vice President, Global Network Development for Havas's MPG. Before MPG, she spent six years as U.S. Director of Marketing Communications at Omnicom Group's OMD. Her career began in the media department of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.

Among the promotions is Kendra Peavy to the new DGC position of General Manager, Director of Development. She was previously Vice President, Group Account Director. In her new role, Peavy adds to her account management responsibilities the development and oversight of employee training, as well as new business development.

Other new hires and promotions announced include:

  • Christine O'Donnell joins DGC as a Vice President, Group Account Director, after serving as Director of Communications for LBi U.S., a marketing and technology agency headquartered in Europe. Prior, she was Director of Agency Relations at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco. Over the years, O'Donnell has worked with highly respected brands including Chevrolet, Frito-Lay, Haagen-Dazs, Sony, and Sprint.

  • Marni Raitt, who previously ran her own PR consultancy, First Raitt Communications, joins DGC as a Senior Account Director. As a consultant, Raitt provided communications support to a wide variety of B2B and B2C organizations, including the New York Society Library, FOX Digital Media, and the New York Restoration Project. Raitt began her career on the Media Relations team at Disney/ABC Cable Networks Group in Los Angeles, and later at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to Peavy to General Manager, DGC's promotions include:

  • Erin Donahue has been promoted to Senior Account Director from Account Director. Prior to joining DGC in 2011, she held positions in the corporate communications departments at JWT, Euro RSCG, and Leo Burnett.

  • Megan McIlroy has been promoted to Senior Account Director from Account Director. McIlroy joined DGC in 2010 after working at Paramount Pictures. She previously covered marketing agencies as a reporter for Advertising Age.
