Digicel Expands Mobile TV Programs

RETV Joins Digicel in Providing Local Mobile TV Programming

KINGSTON, JAMAICA--(Marketwire - May 29, 2007) - Digicel, the fastest-growing mobile telecommunications company in the Caribbean and new entrant to the Central American market, today announced that it has expanded its mobile TV programming line-up with the new addition of another local channel, Reggae Entertainment Television (RETV).The Jamaican station joins Digicel's existing line-up of Mobile TV channels, which include Hype TV, a leading music channel and CVM, one of Jamaica's national television channels.

Digicel's Mobile TV service enables customers to access live, local TV programming, including soap operas, news bulletins, music videos and sports programs from their Digicel cellular phones. The new service launched in 2007, making Digicel the first mobile operator in the region to offer all live, all local mobile TV programs. The company has plans to continue expanding its mobile TV offering across its network of 22 markets during this year.

Customers can access the service by selecting the Mobile TV link within the mobile content service Digicel Live on their handsets.
