Puglian Wines Are Building a Reputation for Astounding Quality and Value

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 24, 2010) - Wines of Puglia is coming to Canada with an extraordinary program of seminars and wine-tasting events to be held in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal from September 21 to 25. Twelve of the finest winemakers from the Puglia region in Italy will be showcasing their wines to Canadian experts and the public.

Chefs, journalists, wine professionals and enthusiasts will learn about the notable wine traditions of Puglia and taste the impressive array of local varietals that have been harvested for centuries, making this Southern Italian region unlike any other. Come and discover how to pair Puglian wines with both traditional Italian and local Canadian cuisines. The public will also have an opportunity to savour Puglian wines in some of the finest restaurants in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal.

The Wines of Puglia ( project is devoted to the worldwide dissemination of wines produced in this Italian region located in the heart of the Mediterranean – an area where, over the centuries, the temperate climate and the ideal landscapes have favoured the creation of excellent wines, and where modern wineries are developing with the echo of a remote tradition.
