Discovery Channel's "American Hot Rod" Crew Rolls Into Las Vegas for the 2005 SEMA Show

Boyd Coddington to Unveil '54 Corvette Tuesday, November 1, 2005

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 31, 2005 -- Boyd Coddington, of the hit television series "American Hot Rod," along with his crew and several hot rods, will be on hand for the annual SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show, the largest automotive performance and accessory industry show in one location. In addition to making several appearances to sign autographs and meet with fans at various vendor booths, Boyd will unveil the latest custom car, a 1954 Chevy Corvette. The '54 features a new Corvette SLR Engine modified by Boyd, Art Morrison chassis, one-off Boyd Coddington signature wheels, and fully customized leather interior by Gabe Lopez. The unveiling will take place at 3:00 p.m. outside the mains doors of Central Hall (Sawtooth area) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Boyd Coddington will make special appearances Tues. Nov. 1, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the MagnaFlow Performance booth # 24225, and Wed., Nov. 2, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the DuPont Hot Hues booth # 22293.

Duane Mayer, shop supervisor on "American Hot Rod," will also make a special appearance Wed., Nov. 2, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Electric Life Power Window Systems booth # 10340. Fans of "American Hot Rod" will be able to get a behind-the-scenes view of all the excitement as the Discovery crew films entire show.

"American Hot Rod," airing on Discovery Channel (Mondays 8:00 pm E/P), draws millions of fans each week to watch legendary hot rodder Boyd Coddington and his staff as they conceptualize, design, build and unveil a continuing lineup of cutting-edge hot rods.
