Distributed Power, Inc. Signs Proposal to Acquire Hydroelectric Company in China

LIME ROCK, CT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 15, 2005 -- Distributed Power, Inc. (OTC: DDPW), an owner and developer of electric power generation facilities, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with a hydroelectric company in China to acquire it and to subsequently acquire additional projects. The proposal, accepted by a hydroelectric company located in BaoDing in the Hebei Province of China, entails a stock acquisition. Following the transaction, the Company plans to acquire up to 240 Megawatts of operating hydroelectric power plants in the region.

China has enacted legislation and other measures that require local governments which own hydroelectric projects to sell them to private enterprise. China is currently experiencing tremendous economic growth and needs companies whose managements have both electric power and financial expertise to meet the country’s growing power needs.
