Dr. Alan Rosen Named Once Again Among Houston Super Doctors, Making Texas Monthly's Annual List of the Best in the Texas Medical Profession

The Well-Known Hand and Upper Extremity Specialist of KSF Orthopaedic Center Continues to Stand Apart in Orthopedics, Garnering Respect and Receiving Peer Nominations

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - January 21, 2010) - Renowned Houston hand and upper extremity specialist and KSF orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Alan Rosen, once again received approving nods from fellow colleagues and was named among the prestigious list of the medical community's best and brightest, the Super Doctors of Texas.

Revealed in the December issue of Texas Monthly magazine, the annual list is compiled after a year-long nomination and review process conducted by Key Professional Media. The peer-nomination process and listing of medical professionals is among the most respected in the nation.

The recipient of multiple awards over the years for Texas Monthly Super Doctors and H Texas Magazine's Top Docs, Dr. Rosen has chartered new territory in orthopedics. His innovative work with humerus fractures and carpal tunnel syndrome has obtained media attention and earned KSF Orthopaedic Center a spot among the top orthopedic facilities in Houston.

Among the first in Houston to offer less invasive endoscopic and arthroscopic procedures for common hand and upper extremity conditions, Dr. Rosen is president of the KSF Orthopaedic Surgery Center and an executive board member of KSF Orthopaedic Center. He is Co-Chairman of the board of TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital.

Before joining KSF over 10 years ago, Dr. Rosen completed his internship and residency in general surgery and orthopedics at Stanford University and a fellowship in hand, upper extremity, and microvascular surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery at Cornell University Medical College.

Dr. Rosen is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand (CAQSH). He practices at both the KSF Red Oak and Methodist Willowbrook locations in northwest Houston.
