NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- August 30, 2006 -- On September 30, 2006, Duane Reade, WCBS Radio 880 and Drug Store News will host the 2nd Annual Caregiver Expo in New York City. The goal of the Expo is to guide caregivers of all ages on how to provide the best care, both inside and outside the home. The Caregiver Expo, free to consumers, will take place at the Penn Plaza Pavilion in midtown Manhattan and will prove to be a beneficial event for the tri-state area at large. Due to the success of the 2005 Caregiver Expo and great response to this year's event, Drug Store News will expand the event to a series of three expos, beginning in 2007.

Caregivers and consumers alike will hear updates on products and treatment breakthroughs from healthcare professionals and listen to presentations from industry experts on the state of chronic diseases. Participants will also have the opportunity to speak with legal counsel from elder care organizations and seek guidance from financial planners. In addition, hospice care and nursing home spokespeople will be on hand to answer questions. The consumers attending the expo will also receive a free resource guide, product samples, free medical screenings and much more!

In addition to partners WCBS Newsradio 880, Duane Reade and Novo Nordisk, Walgreens, Schering-Plough, Aetna Medicare, AstraZeneca and many others will participate in the consumer-driven event and will be joined by senior-based organizations including the New York Foundation for Senior Citizens, the New York City Chapter of Alzheimer's Association and the Well Spouse Foundation.
