Sitecore's CMS Helps Consumer Products Company Increase Site Traffic More Than 200%

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - April 19, 2010) -  Sitecore, the leading provider of .NET Web Content Management System (CMS) software, today announced Duck® brand has launched its new website and online community with Sitecore's Web CMS. The Duck® brand, marketed by ShurTech Brands, LLC, best known for its Duck® tape and loyal following, looked to Sitecore to improve its online presence, consolidate multiple sites into one, enable user-generated content, build an online community and optimize the site for search engines.

Sitecore partner DigitalDay developed a website strategy to engage consumers by getting inside the mind of the Duck® brand customers. To do this, they created categories, content, and navigation based on online searches for the brand and its products. In addition, with Sitecore's CMS, all five sites have been consolidated into one site,, and the overall site traffic has increased by more than 200 percent and in some cases, traffic is up by 700 percent.

The contest brings a significant amount of traffic and drives online community building on Twitter and Facebook. With Sitecore, the new site is highly interactive, and site visitors can now rate products, leave comments, and submit user generated content for the contest.
