Duo PR: Seattle Public Relations Agency Dishes on New Consumer Clients, Expanded Team and Office Move to Ballard's Landmark Kolstrand Building

Duo PR Bolsters Food PR Practice With Dream Dinners, SousVide Supreme™; Lifestyle PR Agency Also Adds Fremont Fair and Fashion PR Veteran Kristen Hamilton

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - February 10, 2010) - What do you get when you mix fun new food clients, an almost-anything-goes street fair, a fashion PR specialist and a landmark brick warehouse in one of Seattle's most buzzing neighborhoods? For Duo PR, a Seattle public relations firm specializing in consumer public relations, those elements add up to an energetic New Year's start.

Today, Duo PR announced three new client wins -- Dream Dinners, Inc., SousVide Supreme™ and the Fremont Fair -- as well as the addition of Account Manager Kristen Hamilton. Also, the company today unveiled plans to relocate its current Fremont office to the nearby Ballard neighborhood this spring.

New Clients

Dream Dinners®, the leading meal assembly chain with more than 115 locations in the U.S., has retained Duo PR as its agency-of-record, effective immediately. In this role, the agency will focus on supporting Dream Dinners' major consumer marketing initiatives and new product offerings via traditional media relations and grassroots campaigns, as well as provide all corporate communications counsel.

This win comes on the heels of Duo PR's new relationship with SousVide Supreme™, a brand Duo PR helped launch late last year. The SousVide Supreme product is the first all-in-one appliance specifically designed to make the "sous vide" cooking technique accessible to the home chef, and Duo PR has helped push the new brand into the limelight by generating a flurry of online foodie buzz and traditional press alike. The agency will continue to introduce consumers to the emerging sous vide style and SousVide Supreme products through a combination of traditional PR, social media and offline connector programs, and will also manage all international PR roll-out efforts.

Rounding out the hat trick, Duo PR has also been tapped to manage all PR and marketing surrounding the 2010 Fremont Fair, an off-the-wall Seattle neighborhood festival that draws more than 100,000 annually to take in booths, beer gardens, street food, music and all manners of creative expression. This year the Fair will be produced by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, and Duo PR is providing services in part through an in-kind trade, which aligns with Duo PR's give-back program.

New Office

To keep up with growth, Duo PR also announced it will relocate its office this spring to the "industrial chic" Kolstrand building (4743 Ballard Avenue) in Seattle's popular Ballard neighborhood. A historic brick warehouse, the Kolstrand building is undergoing an adaptive reuse renovation and will help anchor the south end of retail and restaurant-rich Ballard Avenue. Duo PR will occupy the second floor, along with graphic design firm Turnstyle, while the street level will house sought-after restaurants and retailers. A third floor will contain work loft spaces.

New Hire

Helping to support Duo's clients and contribute to business development, the agency has also hired public relations veteran Kristen Hamilton as an account manager. A fashion PR specialist coming to Seattle via Southern California, Hamilton previously served as director of marketing for swimwear company Aaron Chang International, and spent more than four years as director of marketing for The Marika Group, an international lifestyle activewear and yoga brand. Hamilton will help lead the agency's fashion and home/family products roster, leveraging her deep relationships with stylists, top lifestyle press and experiential marketing events.
