Dynasty Gold Appoints AngloGold Ashanti Representative to the Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 24, 2006) - Dynasty Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:DYG)(FWB:D5G) ("Dynasty" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Dr. Roric Smith has, on behalf of AngloGold Ashanti, accepted a position as Director on the board of Dynasty Gold Corp, effective immediately. Dr. Smith held exploration and specialist geologic positions with Anglo American Corporation and Normandy Mining, before joining AngloGold Ashanti. While with AngloGold Ashanti, Dr. Smith was Chief Geologist in Australia, led the exploration initiative in China and was subsequently appointed Exploration Manager - North Asia. Dr. Smith is a specialist structural geologist who has during his career contributed to understanding structural controls in orogenic and epithermal systems, which has led to new discoveries and increases in resources in a number of regions, including Australasia, Africa and South America. Dr. Smith lives in Beijing, where he is also Chief Representative for AngloGold Ashanti in China.

AngloGold Ashanti holds approximately 9% of Dynasty's outstanding shares, and is working with the Company to explore the Red Valley and Wild horse properties in Northwest China. Dynasty has an exploration budget of approximately US $1.7 million for these projects in 2006, including up to 5000 m of drilling at Red Valley.

The Company further announces that it has offered stock options to a Director for the total purchase of up to 200,000 common shares of the Company exercisable for a term of five years at a price of C$0.35 per share.
