ESA appoints new Director of Planning

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - May 15, 2006) - Paul Woods has recently joined ESA as Director of Planning based at the practice's London office. With wide-ranging experience both in the public and private sectors, Paul has worked on a significant number of retail developments, large-scale commercial and residential schemes and conservation and listed building projects.

With twenty years experience, the planning division of ESA works both in collaboration with ESA architecture : design, and independently as planning consultants.
ESA planning works on a wide spectrum of projects from major town centres to small one-off residential schemes.

Whilst leading the established planning team and collaborating with his architectural and urban design colleagues, Paul's role is to develop the planning division providing clients with a bespoke service.

Before running his own business, Paragon Planning, Paul Woods was Planning Director at CgMs (1997-2004).

One of the UK's leading architecture and design practices, ESA also provides a town planning and project management consultancy.

Founded in Hull in 1914, ESA were formerly known as Elsworth Sykes. The London office opened in 1965 and has since developed into a 50-strong architectural practice.

With the recent formation of a team of six experienced directors from diverse architectural backgrounds, ESA continues to take on an exciting range of projects from commercial to community, conservation, residential and mixed-use developments.

ESA are currently working on a diverse portfolio of projects and are on site with the Davenant Community Centre, Whitechapel Road and The Brewery site, Cheltenham, as well as schemes for London + Associated, The Burford Group, Kenmore, JC Decaux and Sainsbury's.
