ESI Announces Successful Flo.Point Testing with EnCana

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 15, 2006) - E.S.I. Environmental Sensors Inc. ("ESI", the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ESV) is pleased to announce that the Company has been undertaking a demonstration and evaluation of its Flo.Point product with EnCana (www.EnCana.com). EnCana is among the largest holders of oil and gas properties in North America.

ESI staff has been involved with the project over several months at an EnCana heavy oil production facility in Alberta. The trial project included installation and testing of the Flo.Point instrument in a heavy oil application with hydrocarbon to water ratio of 60/40. The successful test has resulted in ESI receiving its first orders for standard Flo.Point product from two EnCana Divisions. Deliveries and installations are planned for this Quarter. Further orders are pending.

Flo.Point's unique features address EnCana applications at several of its oil properties. ESI's engineering staff is also working on specific enhancements to Flo.Point which will address additional opportunities with this client.

"Working with EnCana on this project has been an exciting opportunity to showcase ESI's leading edge technology to a major player in the industry," said Paul Davis, who is based in Calgary and is leading ESI's Oil & Gas Product Sales. "Flo.Point data collected in the field at a remote location, can be received real-time in corporate offices downtown, allowing oil company staff instant access to water management information that can optimize individual well performance."

ESI anticipates further announcements in the coming weeks with regard to progress with the Flo.Point instrument.

ESI is a leading developer and manufacturer of patented and proprietary systems for water management. ESI products have successfully been introduced into over 40 countries to manage irrigation systems, monitor water quality, the integrity of landfill covers and most recently in the oil and gas sector to measure the volumetric presence of water pumped from producing oil wells. Environmental managers and scientists have adopted ESI proprietary technology because of its accuracy, ease of use and ability to operate in challenging conditions.
