ESPRE Solutions Announces the Release of ESPRE LIVE Media Platform 3.0

PLANO, TX--(Marketwire - January 17, 2008) - ESPRE Solutions, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: EPRT), a Dallas-based media solutions and technology company with a revolutionary and patented video compression technology, today reports that it has released ESPRE LIVE Media Platform 3.0 which provides an end-to-end delivery system for live video over any IP network. Additionally, with the release of ESPRE LIVE 3.0 ESPRE Solutions also discloses that it is currently working with several significant systems integrators and is actively seeking additional systems integration partnerships to respond to the exploding market in video enabled applications.

Pete Ianace, ESPRE Solutions' CEO, comments, "With online collaboration options multiplying, companies are looking for ways to differentiate themselves. More than just a buzzword, collaboration has become a key and much sought after competitive differentiator. Enterprises seek to harness the power of collaboration to extract the benefits of visually connecting global work groups. Business quality video collaboration has remained the missing element that would enable the experience to replicate an in person meeting. ESPRE live was designed from the ground up to enable the easy integration and deployment of this element." The release of ESPRE LIVE Media Platform 3.0 uniquely positions ESPRE Solutions to address this market opportunity and meet the demand for an improved user experience as well as the need for a truly viable solution for live, high-quality multi-media video collaboration.

According to David Coleman, Managing Director of Collaborative Strategies, "As bandwidth becomes less expensive and more and more accessible worldwide, the ability to interact through a variety of collaboration technologies has been a beneficiary of this trend. However, the medium that has benefited the most has been video collaboration, whose growth has been dramatic over the last few years."

The ESPRE LIVE Media Platform 3.0 offers systems integrators and applications developers an end-to-end video delivery system as well as an extensive toolkit of APIs for the production, management, and delivery of multi-media experiences. The key to the ESPRE LIVE 3.0 end-to-end video distribution solution is its Smart Player built on Java™ for access across multiple end user devices. For VOD type applications the Smart Player dynamically manages the end user experience by appropriately matching the end user's capabilities (network, processor, etc.) with the media to be served. The ESPRE Platform supports a wide variety of encodings for a given media stream coupled with the dynamic intelligence in the player to appropriately select among them. An initial determination is made based on the player's perception of the user environment. If, at any point, the dynamic aspect of the player's intelligence determines the user would be better served by a stream of either higher or lower bandwidth content, the content can be changed "on the fly" without starting over or, in most cases, even without any perceptible stall. This approach differs from others in the market today by managing the user experience not just as the video starts playing but the content flow on the fly to ensure the user experiences equals the performance one would expect from a dedicated network with QoS enabled.

Additional traits are ease of development, speed of delivery, access to monitoring and lower cost of ownership when deploying applications. ESPRE LIVE 3.0 Consists of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) assembled into a Software Development Kit (SDK), and a Video enabled Hosting Service. Applications using the SDK and Hosting Service span from video collaboration, real time video conference, and video on demand, to mention just a few. ESPRE Solutions delivers the SDK as a set of libraries containing Java code and JavaScript APIs, which allow an application developer to build their own flavor of video enabled applications that invoke the functionality of the underlying ESPRE Media Engine via the SDK. Integrators that specialize in web based collaboration solutions can utilize our ESPRE LIVE SDK toolset to rapidly develop and deploy very complex customized solutions without the need to have video expertise on their staff. Companies planning to add high quality video to their existing voice or data applications will find ESPRE an able partner for adding value to end customers.

Pete Ianace, further comments, "To date the ESPRE LIVE Media Platform has been used by our engineers to develop two custom projects. In both cases the full breath of the Media Platform is being utilized. It is at the core of the Blideo service offering launching next quarter and a contracted project with a large national service provider that is expected to launch a new service in the first half of this year. In both cases video collaboration is at the heart of their solution and they expect business grade quality and performance under all network conditions which is hard to achieve with most of the alternative approaches available in the market today. We are excited to offer this powerful Media Platform to the rest of the development community with today's announcement."
