EWS Receives $1 Million Installment Payment From Ellsin

AJAX, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 6, 2010) - Environmental Waste International (EWS) (TSX VENTURE:EWS) announced that a wholly owned subsidiary has received an installment payment of $1,000,000 from Ellsin Environmental Ltd. (Ellsin). The installment became payable following Ellsin's receipt of the final environmental permit for the TR900 plant in Sault Ste Marie. Ellsin has now received all environmental permits from the Ontario Ministry of Environment required to operate the prototype TR900 plant. Ellsin can now begin construction of the building to house the showpiece tire processing plant.

The fabrication phase of the main TR900 components will begin shortly. EWS has completed all design and manufacturing drawings for the prototype system and has recently hired a Project Manager to oversee the fabrication, assembly and commissioning phases of the project.

EWS will now select the main manufacturer for the processing chamber and will coordinate the work on the electronic and programming components. EWS has contracted Rockwell Automation to oversee the design and development of the electronic and monitoring controls for the tire system. EWS has already begun testing the operation of the tire in-feed section fabricated earlier this year.

The Prototype tire processing plant will showcase the EWS Reverse Polymerization™ Process. The TR900 plant is designed to breakdown 900 tires per day into carbon black, oil and steel. Off-gases from the process are used as fuel to power the system.

EWS also has processors for the environmentally safe sterilization and disposal of medical, biological, liquid and food waste and for the recovery of usable byproducts from other organic sources. EWS continues to explore other applications for its technology.
