Eagle Broadband to Host Mid-Quarter Conference Call to Update Shareholders on IPTV and Super Headend Progress

LEAGUE CITY, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 13, 2006 -- Eagle Broadband, Inc. (AMEX: EAG), a national provider of broadband, Internet protocol (IP) and communications technology and services, will host a conference call on Wednesday, October 18 at 5:30 p.m. EDT to report on its IPTV and new super headend progress. In addition, Eagle officials will provide an update on other company business and recent customer successes.

President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Micek and Chief Operating Officer Brian Morrow will host the conference call, which will be broadcast over the Internet. Joining them will be Daniel Contreras, CEO of ANEW Broadband, an Eagle IPTV customer.
