EagleRidge Minerals Receives Anomalous Gold Assays from Several Zones on the Hannes Project in Southeast Manitoba

PINAWA, MANITOBA--(Marketwire - Oct. 27, 2009) - EagleRidge Minerals Ltd. ("ERM" or the "Company") announces that it has received partial gold analysis from the Hannes Project in the Rice Lake greenstone belt of southeast Manitoba.

The Hannes Project consists of large group of claims situated in the western portion of the greenstone belt approximately 30 kilometres west of Bissett. The company carried out a Phase 1 exploration program of field mapping and geochemistry on the southern and western portion of the claim package.

Numerous quartz-bearing shear zones, with many hosted in a mafic intrusive units, were mapped and sampled. The assays being reported on cover two of the larger zones of quartz-bearing shear zones discovered on the property. Additional assays are still pending from the rest of the program.

The Gnoms Showing is a quartz-bearing shear zone that from historical exploration has been traced for 1200 metres with a width of 10 to 20 metres. Most of the shear zone exists below bog cover. Surface samples have been historically reported to be as high as 25 g/t. EagleRidge exploration crews examined and sampled numerous historical trenches over a 300 metre strike length. The shear zone continues under bog cover on either side of the area mapped. Assays returned a consistent level of anomalous gold values with assays up to 2.1 g/t. Mineralization appears to increase to the west.

The Beaver Pond Showing is an area where there was no historical documentation of exploration. Numerous old trenches were discovered during field work that contained high levels of sulphide mineralization. The quartz-bearing shear zone was mapped over a strike length of 120 metres and varied in width from 2 to 5 metres. Assays showed sporadic anomalous gold values with assays up to 1.4 g/t. The shear zone continues under overburden and bog cover.

A diamond drill program is being contemplated for both shear zones for this winter. This will be re-elevated once all the assays have been received from the program and all maps completed. A detailed and robust exploration program is planned for next field season to further examine and extend these zones.

All analytical work was carried out by Activation Laboratories of Ancaster, Ontario. Rock samples were submitted for fire assay with an ICPMS analysis. EagleRidge Minerals implements a QAQC program whereby commercial geochemical standards are submitted at regular intervals with all rock shipments.

Carey Galeschuk, P.Geo, ERM President and COO, is the qualified person under the definition of NI 43-101 for these projects.
