Early Alert and Intervention Expert Joins EducationDynamics Staff to Strengthen Student Success Products and Services

Katie Lynch-Holmes, Advocate for Early Alert Programs From the University of South Carolina, Brings Campus-Wide Student Success Experience to EducationDynamics

DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - February 16, 2010) -  EducationDynamics, higher education's leading marketing company dedicated to helping institutions find, enroll and retain students, announced today at University of South Carolina's 29th Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience the addition of Katie Lynch-Holmes to the product management staff of its Enrollment and Retention Services Division. Prior to joining the company, she coordinated early intervention initiatives at the University of South Carolina. In 2009 Ms. Lynch-Holmes received national recognition when she was asked to direct a national Academic Impressions conference addressing the impact of early alert programs on reducing student attrition.

In her new role as a student success and retention specialist, Ms. Lynch-Holmes will be responsible for overseeing the development of the company's undergraduate and graduate retention programs, including its FYRE™ (First Year Retention and Engagement) program. EducationDynamics provides students with immersive, success-oriented content and purposeful community-oriented features while providing administrators with robust reporting and early alert data. Since being introduced in 2000, the programs have served more than 100 colleges and universities, increasing student engagement and retention.

"I've had the pleasure of working with the EducationDynamics staff as a user of its retention programs for several years," says Ms. Lynch-Holmes. "During that time I grew to admire the excitement and commitment the company puts into both its products and its customer service. I hope to be able to help its goals of not only enrolling and retaining, but fully integrating, students into campus culture to increase their chances of individual success."

"We recognize that there is no shortage of education vendors who claim to have software 'solutions' that address issues such as student success and retention," says Peter Tomassi, senior vice president of product development of the Enrollment and Retention Services Division of EducationDynamics. "That is exactly why team members such as Katie Lynch-Holmes, themselves practitioners from leading universities, are so vital to our approach to helping students. We want to continue building products and services that solve real problems for real students and student services personnel."
