Ecast Taps Former Adify, Turner Broadcasting Account Management Specialist for New Director of Sales Development Slot

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - December 1, 2009) - Ecast, a leader in interactive place-based media, announced the hire of media sales development professional Jay Roby to the newly created position of director of sales development. In his new role, Roby is charged with supporting, enhancing and optimizing the interactive ad sales and media solutions businesses at Ecast whose digital music network encompasses more than 10,000 bars, nightclubs and restaurants in key designated market areas (DMAs) across the United States.

Working with Ecast's product marketing and development teams, Roby will help define new verticals, identify new ad categories, and land and close new business as well as serving clients from insertion order to final campaign delivery. In addition to creating sales strategies and promoting new features on the Ecast network, Roby will be tasked with performing market research and post-campaign analysis.

Prior to joining Ecast, Roby enhanced his track record in account management and sales development at vertical ad network platform Adify where he served as director of account management in charge of a team managing campaigns from top advertising agencies including Digitas, Carat, MediaCom, Mediavest, and Grey. Previously, Roby was a sales planner for Turner Sports Interactive where he spearheaded the planning, proposals and research for and and worked with leading national brands such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, M&M Mars and Schwab to bring in over $10 million in advertising revenue. Roby started his tenure with Turner Broadcasting as an account service representative for CNN, Headline News, CNN Airport and where he managed 15 accounts.
