MARLBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - August 19, 2010) - Egenera Inc. announced today its new channel partner program in North America, and the signing of Texas-based Austin Ribbon & Computer Supplies Inc. as the company's first U.S. certified channel VAR and integration partner. Last month, Egenera launched a similar partner program in EMEA -- enabling resellers to deliver converged infrastructure software on the customer's platform of choice. Egenera is expected to announce support for additional hardware platform partners later this year.
The company is continuing to expand reach and accessibility of its PAN Manager® Software by Egenera® to resellers looking to provide a multi-platform, converged infrastructure and unified computing product. The software leverages standard x86 blades, standard Ethernet components, and standard SANs to provide a flexible data center infrastructure with inherent high-availability (HA) /failover and disaster recovery (DR).
