Elemica Sponsors 5K Run Essential2Life Benefiting the American Red Cross

Elemica Team Participation Promotes Haitian Relief Efforts

EXTON, PA--(Marketwire - March 30, 2010) -  Elemica, the industry-leading B2B supply chain network, announces their sponsorship and participation in the 4th Annual Essential2Life 5K run that benefits the American Red Cross. The race is sponsored by numerous New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania members of the American Chemistry Council as part of its essential2® campaign, which is designed to raise awareness about the chemical industry and its impact on day-to-day life.

"It is important for consumers to understand how key the chemical industry is to the health and growth of our country," said Rick Bushnell, VP Sales at Elemica and a runner in the 5K Race. "For example, the chemical industry generates more than half a trillion dollars for the U.S. economy each year and thousands of jobs. In addition, chemistry products go into many energy-saving and renewable energy applications that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Elemica is enthusiastic about sponsoring and participating in this worthwhile event."

The event takes place on Saturday, April 10th at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. A 5K run, a 3K walk, a "kids sprint," a fair, raffle prizes and various educational and entertainment activities will take place. This year, Team Elemica's contributions will go directly to the International American Red Cross in an effort to provide humanitarian relief for the people in Haiti who have been affected by the recent devastating earthquake.
