Embracing Change, CODA Financials Becomes UNIT4 CODA

Parent Company UNIT4 Consolidates Position as One of World's Largest Software Firms

MANCHESTER, NH--(Marketwire - January 28, 2010) - CODA Financials, Inc., the US finance software specialist, today announced its new name, UNIT4 CODA, Inc. The change accompanies the rebrand of CODA's parent firm, global business software company Unit 4 Agresso NV, which has changed its brand name to UNIT4 and will apply that name worldwide across all companies in the group.

The UNIT4 group will go to market under the proposition 'Embracing Change,' highlighting its focus and vision to set the global standard for business software that helps dynamic organizations adapt to internal and external driven changes simply, quickly and cost-effectively.

Like all UNIT4 products, UNIT4 CODA's best-of-class finance software, CODA Financials, is engineered for complex, fast-changing business environments. It streamlines and automates finance processes including accounting, procurement, reporting and analysis, and helps organizations improve their compliance and corporate governance. Its unique Link™ architecture ensures smooth integration with other applications and enables real-time visibility and control across people, processes and systems.

Around 2,600 medium and large organizations across all sectors use CODA Financials to control costs, drive performance and ensure compliance while remaining agile and responsive. Customers include Ambac, AXA, Avis, Booz Allen Hamilton, FedEx Trade Networks, HSBC Bank, IKEA and Newsweek.

"Over the past two years, tighter regulations, frequent reorganizations and evolving business processes have made change the new normal for finance departments," said UNIT4 CODA CEO Steve Pugh. "The trouble is, most ERP and finance systems can't adjust to change. Change breaks their reports, their processes and controls and their integration touch points with other software. What we offer with CODA Financials is the unique ability to change financial systems quickly and cost-effectively without causing expensive business disruptions. Given our ease of implementation, our decades of experience and our backing from a half-billion dollar company in UNIT4, it just makes sense for companies to focus on what they do best and leave finance to us."

The rebranding to UNIT4 follows a series of recent acquisitions, including the well-publicized acquisition of CODA in 2008, that have made it a top-six midmarket ERP software player globally and the second-largest ERP supplier in Europe. The rebranding of the group and its subsidiaries represents the start of the company's next stage of growth.

"The move will give us a single, clear name worldwide, helping us focus our marketing and communications efforts and build a truly global business software brand in the coming years," said Chris Ouwinga, CEO and President of UNIT4. "Our value proposition, 'Embracing Change,' clearly differentiates us, highlighting our unique focus on helping clients to cope with change in its many forms. It's a differentiator that is particularly resonant in such uncertain economic and market conditions. With continued investment in all our market leading products, under a single brand and with a powerful unified vision, we will be more focused, prominent and successful than ever."

"The group has a growing number of products and brands around the world. The rebrand will improve global awareness, eliminate confusion in the market and provide a strong and clearly differentiated platform for continued growth," Ouwinga said.

Note to editors: UNIT4 is the over-riding company brand. Some operations that focus primarily on a single set of products may refer to themselves as UNIT4 Agresso or UNIT4 CODA.
