EnergySolutions Awarded Large Component Contract From Exelon Nuclear

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - November 16, 2009) - EnergySolutions, Inc. (NYSE : ES )
announced today it has signed a $24.3 million contract with Exelon Nuclear
to remove and dispose of obsolete materials and equipment from several of
the utilities' power plants.

of the team that will help them upgrade major components resulting in
additional emissions free power generation at these stations," said Steve

EnergySolutions will remove some of the equipment that is either no longer
in use or is being replaced with more technologically advanced components.
The material will be transported to EnergySolutions' facility in Clive,
Utah.
