Entretec/PricewaterhouseCoopers Call for Applicants for Fourth Annual Entrepreneurship Award 2007

High-Tech Companies in Greater LA Encouraged to Enter; Application Deadline December 15, 2006

PASADENA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 15, 2006 --Entretec, a leading business development organization supporting high-tech companies in Greater Los Angeles, recently called for applicants for its Fourth Annual Entrepreneurship Award 2007. Offered in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world's largest professional services organization, the award honors growing, leading-edge companies symbolizing the best in entrepreneurial spirit and skills in Greater LA. The deadline for applications is December 15, 2006.

"The Greater Los Angeles area is home to hundreds of emerging technology-based companies across all business sectors," said Stephanie Yanchinski, Executive Director of Entretec. "Entretec wishes to celebrate the entrepreneurial vigor of these companies and acknowledge the growing importance of the high-tech sector to the overall economic wealth of the Los Angeles basin."

With a reported $13 million in revenue in 2005, NextAce Corporation (www.nextace.com), provider of title insurance and mortgage lender real-estate software, was named the winner of the 2006 Entrepreneurship Award, and was honored by Walter Mossberg, Technology Editor of The Wall Street Journal, in a keynote address to nearly 200 business leaders. Guidance Software (www.guidancesoftware.com), Entrepreneurship Award winner in 2005, was also recently listed as one of Los Angeles' fastest growing technology companies by the prestigious Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 Program, and Evolution Robotics (www.evolution.com), Entrepreneurship Award winner in 2004, has also received several previous honors for achievements in technology innovation over the years.

This year the award categories are expanding to honor: 1) Companies with under $1 million in annual revenues; 2) Companies with between $1 million and $ 5 million in annual revenues; and 3) Companies with excess of $5 million in annual revenue. Revenues may include investment, government or strategic partners.

Companies can self nominate or be proposed by a third party or organization. Applicants must demonstrate a record of overcoming obstacles, achieving milestones and showing a healthy outlook, with steady growth and promising prospects. Likely winners will:

--  be a technology company, owning and developing proprietary technology
--  be in business 2-5 years
--  have significant customer orders and early revenue
--  be located in the Greater Los Angeles six counties region (Santa
    Barbara, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside and Ventura)
--  be operating in a technology sector
    
A panel of judges will select finalists in February 2007. Finalists will be honored at a "Hot Companies" breakfast on March 1, where they will have the opportunity to present before a large group of business leaders and investors. The Entrepreneurship Award winner will be announced on April 19, 2007, at an Awards dinner in Pasadena.
