Esurance ICER AIR 2006 Returns to San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 30, 2006 -- In just five short days, 200 tons of snow, a 100-foot-high big air jump and over forty professional skiers and snowboarders will descend on AT&T Park for Esurance ICER AIR 2006 ( Co-hosted by skateboarding icon Tony Hawk and Olympic medalist Jonny Moseley, Esurance ICER AIR is the first stadium big air ski and snowboard competition to be held in the United States.

"We are excited to bring ICER AIR back to San Francisco and to expand the event into a full-day festival with a big air ski and snowboard competition featuring the top athletes in the world, headliner bands, a skate and BMX demo, and a wakeboard exhibition on McCovey Cove," noted ICER Founder & President Glen Griffin.

Continuing in the tradition of ICER AIR 2005, Esurance ICER AIR 2006 is a unique and outrageous urban event that will break boundaries by constructing a 100-foot-high ski and snowboard jump in AT&T Park. The jump will descend from the scoreboard at AT&T Park, extending over 350 feet in length, and will be covered with over 200 tons of snow. Spectators will be afforded views of Olympic medalists and X-Game champions flying through the air amidst the backdrop of the spectacular San Francisco Bay. Esurance ICER AIR is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 4th, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. at AT&T Park, located on San Francisco's waterfront Embarcadero.

In addition, Esurance ICER AIR will feature the inaugural San Francisco Ski and Snowboard Festival featuring 100 industry and local exhibitors including every major ski resort from the Lake Tahoe area, all of whom will be on hand with special promotions for Esurance ICER AIR attendees. Finally, Lombardi Sports will be hosting a huge ski and snowboard sale at the event, with the latest and greatest ski and snowboard gear marked at blowout prices direct from the manufacturers.

The irreverent and incredible Jurassic 5 and Liverpool-based UK dance rockers Ladytron will both perform during the day along with a BMX and skate vert-ramp demo, a wakeboarding exhibition and the introduction of a new sport: WakeSkiing.
