Evans Systems, Inc. Appoints Don Wood, of Child Watch of North America, to Its Board of Directors

Don Wood Will Also Serve as President of Child Watch Network

ASHEVILLE, NC--(Marketwire - May 30, 2007) - The Board of Directors of Evans Systems, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: EVSY) announced the appointment of Don Wood as a new member of the Board of Directors. Don Wood is president of Child Watch of North America in Orlando, Florida.

Child Watch was formed in 1993 for the purpose of working with parents and children to help prevent abductions in America. Don Wood and Child Watch have worked for more than 13 years to provide free programs and services to parents of missing children.

Mr. Wood states, "There are some topics that we would prefer to avoid discussing with our children, abduction being one of them. We need to teach our children safety rules and educate them on how to recognize dangerous situations. The best we can do is empower children with skills that will build their self confidence and enable them to stay safe."

Child Watch relies totally on corporate sponsorships and private donations. As a result, Evans Systems is creating a new, for-profit division called Child Watch Network. Don Wood will serve as president of the Child Watch Network. Don will continue to be based out of Orlando, FL, and will report to the Evans System's Management. He will be responsible for development activities within the structure of the Child Watch Network.

Evans' CEO Frank Moody said today that this appointment was a major strengthening of the development capabilities for Evans Systems, and is consistent with its strategy of building its operations as it prepares to re-uplist to the OTC:BB market.

"Don Wood has a very strong track record from his success with Child Watch. Over the last 13 years, the efforts of Don and his teams have lead to the successful return of 179 missing children to their families," said Frank Moody.

"This appointment, together with our earlier announced appointments of Doug Smith and Dan Willis to the Board, and Gary Musselman as Chief Financial Officer, are important steps in expanding the executive management team. We believe we are securing the right mix of skills to move our later stage plans forward most efficiently. We are very pleased to have Don join our team at this critical juncture in the growth and development of Evans."
