Eve J. Alfillé Gallery & Studio Hosts "Jewelry to Write Home About" Event to Benefit Evanston-Based Housing Options

Evanston Gallery to Donate Original Tahitian Pearl and Diamond Pendant for Drawing and a Portion of All Event Sales

EVANSTON, IL--(Marketwire - October 15, 2007) - Eve J. Alfillé Gallery & Studio (www.evejewelry.com) is proud to host "Jewelry to Write Home About," a benefit for Housing Options. The event will be held at the Gallery on Thursday, October 25th and will benefit the Evanston-based nonprofit, which provides affordable housing opportunities and support services to adults recovering from chronic mental illness.

In addition to donating 10 percent of all event sales to this important cause, Alfillé has designed a one-of-a-kind Tahitian pearl and diamond pendant that will be given away that evening in a special drawing. The beautiful Tahitian Pearl pendant is from her "Organic" series in 14-carat gold with a 13 millimeter cultured South Seas Tahitian Pearl in its soft natural grey color.

"We're proud to work with Housing Options to help raise money that will provide housing and support for people struggling with the great challenges of mental illness. It's our honor to give back to a community that has allowed us to pursue our passion for more than twenty years," says Alfillé. "Each of my pieces is unique and meant to connect with the personality and soul of the wearer. In this case, the winner of this pendant can be reminded of this important cause through a connection with this object of beauty."

Melba Swoyer, Director Development and Communications, added, "Housing Options has benefited from the contributions of the Eve J. Alfillé Gallery & Studio for many years. Their commitment to our cause has been constant. Their support enhances our efforts to provide adults recovering from mental illnesses with a choice and a chance."

The "Jewelry to Write Home About" benefit will be hosted at the Eve J. Alfillé Gallery & Studio, 623 Grove Street, in downtown Evanston from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 25th. Attendees can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and refreshments as well as a fashion show and the chance to win an Eve Alfillé original. The Gallery will donate 10 percent of proceeds from all sales made during the event directly to Housing Options.
