Attention: Assignment Editor, City Editor, Education Editor, News Editor, Photo Editor TORONTO/ONTARIO/MEDIA INVITE--(Marketwire - Sept. 22, 2009) - World-class magicians, dancers, gospel singers and youth choirs will blow the doors off Toronto with a fundraising event like none before this Wednesday, September 23rd. The stirring evening, called "The Power of One," will inspire the city and the world towards urban peace. It will also underscore the major role for the business community in fighting youth crime and building peace.

The night will be an experience of sights and sounds of youth showcasing skills and passions, illustrating how the power of one choice can encourage and inspire youth to avoid a life of crime and violence.

The theme, Power of One, is an action plan for urban peace. It starts as one act of kindness that creates a ripple effect across the community and grows into the power of many across generations.

An experience of sight, sound and taste:
* Ballet and hip hop dancers juxtaposed with images of economic and social challenges and films made by youth in conflict with the law.
* Baldini, Man of Magical Mystery will will perform tricks and discuss the challenges faced by youth who run afoul of the law.
* Three live youth choirs will descend on the night with candles ablaze.
