Exciting One Million Dollar Guestroom Makeover Completed, Featuring a Contemporary Design With Vibrant Colors, Sophisticated Artistic Details, and Warm Woods

MIAMI BEACH, FL--(Marketwire - April 16, 2010) -  Courtyard by Marriott Miami Beach Oceanfront has rolled out the new Courtyard by Marriott "refreshing business" guestroom design. The guestroom upgrades create an inviting environment and are a strong reinforcement of both quality and tremendous value designed to meet the needs of the business and leisure traveler. "From day one, Courtyard has prided itself as a brand that listens to what travelers want from a hotel," said Brian King, Global Brand Manager of Courtyard by Marriott. "Guests want more control and choice with services and amenities that create a healthy balance between working and relaxing." In the new refreshed guestrooms at this beautiful art deco hotel in Miami Beach, guests will take in an energized fresh look dressed with rich fabrics, vibrant colors and elements of visual appeal and the bedding will be more comfortable than ever featuring luxurious mattress toppers. The 262 guestroom makeover was completed in December 2009.

The Courtyard Miami Beach Oceanfront is located on mid-Miami Beach just minutes from the excitement of South Beach, Miami International Airport, Port of Miami, Miami Beach Convention Center and all the exciting arts, restaurants, nightlife and attractions Miami has to offer. The 14-story property was originally built in 1940 as the Cadillac Hotel. Its distinct Art Deco design and prime oceanfront location reflects the history and flamboyance of the 1940-1960's when the area was a hot spot for celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Nat King Cole and Jackie Gleason. In 1957, the film "Pal Joey" was filmed at the hotel, featuring Frank Sinatra, Rita Hayworth and Kim Novak. Veteran stage, screen and television actor, Eddy Bracken, and a group of partners purchased the property in October 1959. Bracken was quoted as saying "the Cadillac was a $4 million hotel."

In 2004, this majestic beauty was purchased by Economos Properties who invested $40 million to transform it into the unique Miami Beach accommodations it is today. The result is a rare boutique Courtyard with all the modern day amenities, services and distinctions that come with the Marriott brand. Guests can rely on standard amenities and programs such as complimentary wireless internet in the lobby and poolside, complimentary high speed access in guestrooms, complimentary business center services, the 24-hour Marketplace, Marriott Revive custom bedding, and a professional and friendly team to ensure the best experience possible.

With three lush acres, the hotel on Collins Ave. provides plenty of space to take a dip in the pool and Jacuzzi, relax under a palm tree or beach umbrella, indulge in a massage at the poolside cabana, sneak in a workout at the Fitness Studio, or sink your toes into the warm sands of fabulous Miami Beach. Sip mojitos and enjoy the sunset at the Oceanfront Surfside Tiki Bar, then dine privately with room service delivery or in the open exhibition kitchen of Carrabba's Italian Grill, a national favorite serving delicious homemade Italian dishes. There is a wooden walkway that runs from Mid-Beach down to South Beach, perfect for exploring the Art Deco district, shops, cultural options, attractions, nightlife and people watching.
